Storms cause damage in Shady Valley; no injuries reported

News 5 reached out to Johnson County EMA Director Jason Blevins, following a tornado warned storm in Shady Valley. Blevins shared that there were multiple reports of trees down, including a report of a roof being damaged.

We also called Johnson County Sheriff Mike Reece, who said that no injuries have been reported.

The picture you see at the top of this article is from Dennis Davidson of Bristol, VA. He was traveling through Shady Valley after the storm passed.

StormTrack 5 meteorologists have asked the National Weather Service in Morristown if they will do a storm damage assessment, and they have yet to confirm if they will. However, we are keeping an open dialogue with them as more reports come in.
