What a difference a year makes! Last year at this time (Mid May 2016), parts of our region were already in a moderate drought. The drought only got worse through the summer...

This year? Much better! In fact, we've eliminated any drought we had and we're up several inches in terms of rainfall. Here's the breakdown for this year via the climate reports from the Tri-Cities airport:

For the year (Jan 1-May 22nd), we are +2.60" with 18.73" of rain falling so far. For Spring (March 1-May 22nd), we are +4.74" with 14.05" of rain falling so far. For May 2017 so far, we are +1.78" with 4.32" of rain recorded at the airport.

Precipitation Analysis from the National Weather Service shows some parts of our region have received 25+" of rain this year!

Will we see more rain soon? Check out the latest forecast here.
