Danica Patrick, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., end five-year relationship
Roush Fenway driver Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., and Danica Patrick have ended their five-year relationship, the Associated Press and NBC Sports reported on Monday.
The news comes just after Patrick announced her formal plans to retire from racing following runs in the 2018 Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500.
The couple competed against each other in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Stenhouse, 30, had a breakthrough campaign in 2017 with wins at Talladega and Daytona and a spot in the sport's postseason.
Patrick only career win in a major series came in IndyCar in 2008 at Motegi. She was the first woman to capture the pole for the Daytona 500 in 2013.
