‘Korean Children's Choir' performs at local churches
BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. - A local church was treated to some music from South Korea on Sunday. Celebration Church in Blountville hosted the popular 'Korean Children's Choir' for a special performance.
The group has 12 different choirs who travel across the country and the world performing. On Sunday 40 children from ages 7-13 performed gospel music in both English and Korean.
They have been in the region for the past few days singing for church groups in Bluefield, Bristol and Kingsport.
"Performing is hard and it's tiring, but I feel proud about it because it's spreading the gospel and it's doing good things," said 13-year-old choir singer, Cheney Yoon.
They are also singing at two other locations in Bristol, Virginia this coming week.
The group will perform at Fellowship Chapel on Tuesday at 7 p.m., and at a community prayer breakfast at the Holiday Inn off Exit 7 on Wednesday at 7 a.m. Then the choir is traveling to Washington for more performances.
