Nashville comedian Ralphie May dead at 45
Ralphie May, the comedian who got his big break in 2003 on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," was found dead at a private residence in Las Vegas on Friday. He was 45.
NBC affiliate WSMV confirmed earlier reports made by TMZ that May had been forced to cancel several dates within the last few weeks as he battle pneumonia. May's manager Judie Marmel told The Hollywood Observer that the cause of death was cardiac arrest.
The comedian had two stand-up special on Netflix in 2015 and appeared on an episode of "Inside Amy Schumer" on Comedy Central last year. He was born in Chattanooga and had been residing in Nashville.
May is survived by his wife, Lahna Turner, and children April June May and August James May, the report said.
