Kidnapping suspect still on the run, after statewide AMBER Alert is canceled
LEXINGTON, Tenn. - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is looking for a man accused of kidnapping his family at gunpoint, sparking a statewide AMBER Alert on Sunday. The AMBER Alert has been canceled, but the suspect is still on the run. Octivas Crout, who also goes by Octavious Woods, is a 28-year-old black man with black hair. He is 6"1' and weighs 195 pounds.
According to the TBI, Crout took 2-year-old Amaylah Manley, 3-year-old Tayvious Crout, 1-year-old Damaryious Crout and 8 year-old Adrik Manley at gunpoint. The children were taken along with their mother 31-year-old Amanda Manley Crout. Octivas Crout is the father of Tayvious and Damaryious. Officials from the Lexington Police Department say Crout took the family at 3:50 a.m. on Sunday. A statewide AMBER Alert was issued Sunday morning, but was canceled when the family was recovered safely in Lexington, Tenn. Crout is still on the run. Warrants for aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault have been issued for him.
