LED lighting company making $1M investment, creating 50 jobs in Mountain City
A company that specializes in manufacturing LED lights and other products is making a five-year investment in an existing Johnson County industrial site and create new jobs.
Star LED plans to make renovations totaling $1 million at a 55,000-square foot facility in Mountain City and create 50 new jobs, according to a report from the Tennessee Department of Economic Community Development.
"Our organization and brand is primed for growth and market penetration. A facility in Mountain City, Tennessee furthers Star LED’s strategy for expansion in the United States while supporting our strategic partners efficiently,” Star LED CEO Charlie Blanco said in a prepared statement. “Our presence here in Mountain City will enable Star LED to be ever more responsive to our partners’ and clients’ immediate needs by providing superior grade LED lights for any application and unparalleled service throughout our clients’ experience with us.”
Company officials said the new facility will be operational and begin manufacturing products in the third quarter of this year.
