Morristown West High School student charged with making threats on social media
A freshman student at Morristown West High School was arrested early Tuesday after police said he made a threat against the school on a social media website.
Investigators were informed of the posting just after 7 a.m. and officers were sent to the school where the 14-year-old male was arrested in the cafeteria and charged by officers with one count of false report, according to a report issued by the city's police department.
The preliminary investigation reveals the threat was made on Snapchat. No weapons were found and the teen surrendered without incident, police said.
