MUST WATCH: Oklahoma tween ventriloquist wows 'America's Got Talent'

It takes a lot to bring Simon Cowell to his feet for applause. But that's exactly what a 12-year-old and her stuffed rabbit Petunia did.

Darci Lynn Farmer had already made her TV debut previously on NBC's "Little Big Shots with Steve Harvey" but Tuesday's appearance on "America's Got Talent" is what has her performance trending at number one on YouTube on Wednesday.

Farmer, from Oklahoma City, got the rare 'Golden Buzzer' from judge Mel B., earning her an automatic spot in the live finals. And that was on the show's premiere.

She said that her parents got her the ventriloquist doll to help her overcome her shyness. The tween sang "Summertime" from "Porgy and Bess" in almost perfect pitch with her teeth clenched.

"I'm gonna remember you in a week, in a month, in a year. You're both brilliant and when you've got it, you've got it," said Cowell.

"America's Got Talent" airs Tuesdays and Fridays on News 5 WCYB.
