President Obama to campaign for Northam in Richmond

President Barack Obama is traveling to Virginia to endorse Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ralph Northam in a rally scheduled for Thursday in Richmond.

The details released by Northam's campaign said Obama would appear at the Greater Richmond Convention Center and the event begins at 5 p.m. The event is free but tickets were only being distributed on Tuesday to those who pre-registered on Northam's official website, the report said.

Two polls released Tuesday showed a close race amongst potential voters for the Nov. 7 governor's race.
