AGC in Church Hill making $40M investment, adding 85 new jobs
One of Hawkins County's largest employers announced an expansion and more new jobs on Wednesday.
AGC Glass North America plans to invest $40.6 million into their current Church Hill facility to help the plant grow by 100,000-square feet, according to a report issued by the company. That addition will require 85 new positions to be created.
AGC regional president Mike Antonucci said flat glass line manufactured at the Tennessee plant supports a new state-of-the-art MSVD coater that will be installed as part of the new plans.
The company has had a presence in Hawkins County since 1962 and employs more than 50,000 workers worldwide, according to company data.
