BRISTOL, Tenn. - Cigna Healthcare held it's first "Day of Health" event in conjunction with Bristol Motor Speedway and Speedway Children's Charities. The goal was to raise awareness for health values in the community. Free health screenings were also offered on site with a prior appointment. These screenings included dental and general health services.

"As an organization, Cigna is really passionate not just about the customers that we serve, but the communities that they live in. This is a great opportunity for us to come out and support again not just our customers but the communities that they live in," says Cigna chief operating officer for the mid-south, Ryan Kocher.

Cigna also re-purposed its mobile learning lab, donating it to Appalachian Miles for Smiles. It will now be used as a mobile vision clinic. Cigna also presented Appalachian Miles for Smiles with a check for $150,000 to cover operating expenses for the next three years.
