Fidget spinners: Fixture, fad or finicky distraction for kids in the Tri Cities?


They come in plastic and metal models. They even carry official license logos with your favorite NFL or Major League Baseball team. If you have kids, they may have already spun their way into your home.

Fidget spinners' popularity has grown to a viral craze thanks to YouTube and the Internet. Some manufactures claim they can benefit children with disorders like ADHD, but some teachers want them out of the classroom.

News 5's PJ Johnson spoke with Tri Cities school leaders and a local physicians to see what the spin factor could be for students and parents.
