Five teens charged after thousands stolen in Kingsport break-ins
Five teenagers are charged by Kingsport police after two separate break-ins at two city businesses.
Three juveniles are charged with burglary and theft over $60,000 following an incident Monday at Friendship Cars at 1848 East Stone Drive. Investigators said four vehicles valued at more than $116,000 were stolen from the lot by the teens.
The other break-in occurred Thursday at Gunslingers at 3192 East Stone Drive. Two juveniles are accused of taking several guns from the shop that have an estimated value of over $10,000, police said. They are charged with burglary and theft over $10,000.
All of the cars and most of the firearms have been recovered but the reported that more charges could be pending against the juveniles.
