Greene County Schools looking at possible consolidation vote
A major vote faces the Greene County School Board Thursday night.
The board will vote on plan that calls for the consolidation of all four high schools into one. The school system hired a consultant to look ways to save money and address decreasing enrollment.
The first part of the plan would be reducing the number of high schools.
Other phases of the plan, not be voted on Thursday, include major realignment and reductions in the number of elementary and middle schools.
