Hawkins County pediatrician arrested on charges of sexual battery
HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. - Hawkins County pediatrician Dr. Chris Calendine is facing charges having to do with the sexual battery of two minors. Complaints were filed against Calendine in July. After Authorities looked into the allegations, they arrested Calendine on two counts of sexual battery.
"Count one was an aggravated sexual battery charge involving a 12 year old, and count two was a sexual battery by an authority figure involving a 14 year old," says Hawkins County District Attorney Dan Armstrong.
His attorney Daniel Boyd says he has spoken with witnesses who have refuted the allegations. Calendine has since been released on $50,000 bond. He is set to appear in court on August 31st.
