Jarden Zinc of Greeneville announces expansion, new jobs


Jarden Zinc, a manufacturer of coin blanks used in U.S currency based in Greeneville, announced a plant expansion Monday that will create 30 new jobs.

A report from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development said the new jobs will be phased-in over the next five years while the company expands its current facility in Greene County by 10,000-square feet to accommodate new equipment.

Jarden Zinc has operated in Greeneville facility since 1970 and they also produces components used in automotive fuses, according to data from the company.
