JC Chief: Robbery reported at Tri City Bank in Boones Creek
UPDATE, 4:15 p.m.
Lt. Kevin Peters of the Johnson City Police Department said few details are being released at this point concerning a bank robbery Wednesday afternoon in Boones Creek.
He did say that two suspects entered the Tri City Community Bank just after 2:50 p.m. Their outfits covered their identities and they exited the facility with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Peters noted that the FBI is now in charge of the investigation and other details about the robbery would be released through that agency.
Johnson City Chief of Police Mark Sirois confirms a robbery investigation is underway at Tri City Community Bank at 2867 Boones Creek Road.
Officers are on the scene processing evidence and more details should be released later. News 5 will bring you that information as it becomes available.
