Johnson City brothers booked after shots fired call
Two brothers from Johnson City are in custody after one fired shots at the other during an argument, police said Thursday.
Washington County TN Sheriff Ed Graybeal said eyewitnesses told officers that Scott Rainey, 29, arrived a home located in the 200 block of Mosier Road just before 4 p.m. and the disagreement escalated with Rainey firing two shots at the victims, including his brother Shaun Rainey.
Officers arrived a few minutes later and found Scott Rainey in an outbuilding with a .9mm handgun. He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault/domestic violence and two separate counts of aggravated assault, according to the report.
While at the residence, officers learned that Shaun Rainey had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody on a charge of theft of services, the report said. No injuries were reported.
