A Johnson City couple is facing a variety of charges following a home invasion investigation.

A report said Jeremy Messer, 24, entered a residence on Sunday with another suspect, who was not identified in the report, and ordered a victim to the ground at gunpoint. The two suspects then fled the scene.

Police developed Messer as a suspect and saw him enter his home at Cherry Hill Apartments on Bell Ridge Road, the report said. Officers spoke with Messer's wife Jessica who told them repeatedly that no one was inside.

While the policemen continued to speak with the woman, Jeremy Messer could be seen climbing out of a back window. He was taken into custody and the couple was arrested.

Jeremy Messer is charged with one count of aggravated robbery and aggravated kidnapping. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Jessica Messer, 30, is charged with one count of false reporting. She is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Sessions Court and is being held on a $2,500 bond.
