Johnson City woman enters Alford plea in connection to husband's death
A Johnson City woman entered an Alford plea to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the 2016 shooting death of her husband.
Keeva Delaney entered the plea and is due back in court for sentencing on July 11.
An Alford plea means Delaney did not admit guilt but acknowledges their is enough evidence to convict her.
Other charges, including first-degree murder and reckless endangerment, were dismissed.
Police said Delaney not only shot her husband with two kids in their home on Edna Court, but one of the bullets went through a wall and into a neighboring apartment. No one in that apartment was hurt.
Delaney claimed the gun accidentally went off during a struggle with her 26-year-old husband.
