Police have arrested Anthony Moosman, the man suspected of opening fire on two men, killing one and injuring the other, during a robbery late Monday in the Lynn Garden community.

Officers were following a tip and searching the Miller Village Apartments in Kingsport late Tuesday when Moosman was spotted.

He was arrested after a brief chase.

He was transported to the Kingsport Jail and scheduled for arraignment Wednesday


Kingsport Police say one person is dead and another is in critical condition after a Monday night shooting.

When officers arrived in the Lynn Garden community they found two adult victims with multiple gunshot wounds.

One of the victims, Stephen Caudill was found inside the apartment and was declared dead on the scene.

The other victim, Clayton Ray was found outside on the front porch of another apartment.

Police say he went next door after being shot and collapsed on the porch. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Officers say Anthony Lee Moosman was attempting to rob the victims and started firing a handgun during the robbery.

Detectives say they also found evidence of a marijuana growing operation in the home.

Police say Anthony Lee Moosman knew the victims and left the scene before officers arrived.

The 18-year-old Moosman is now charged with First Degree Murder among other charges.

He's described as having brown hair and blue eyes and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Kingsport Police are on the scene of a possible shooting in the 300 block of Lynn Avenue in the Lynn Gardens section of the city.

According to Kingsport Police Public Information Officer Thomas Patton, police received word of a possible shooting around 9:30 pm on Monday night.

Officers from the Kingsport Police and Crime Scene Investigations Divisions are currently on scene.
