Kingsport police looking for suspects in theft cases
Arrest warrants have been secured for suspects involved in two separate theft cases in Kingsport, police reported Tuesday.
One suspect is Kimberly D. Reed who is wanted for identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card, attempted theft over $1,000 and theft under $500. Police said Reed, 37, stole a wallet belonging to a Holston Valley Medical Center employee on June 26 and then used the victim's credit card several times.
"She is aware of the charges against her and is actively avoiding arrest," Tuesday's report read.
The other suspect in another investigation is Daniel Lee Roach. Investigators said Roach tried to cash a counterfeit check from a Nashville-based business for more than $2,000 on July 20 at Bank of Tennessee on Fort Henry Drive.
The clerk was able to determine that the check provided by Roach, 30, was a fake and he then left the location. He is now charged with criminal simulation and attempted theft over $1,000.
