Police: Woman arrested after biting off part of boyfriend's ears


A Johnson City woman is behind bars after police say she attacked her boyfriend and bit off part of his ears. Authorities added the tip of his nose had also been removed.

According to Johnson City police, officers responded to a woman's screams in the area of East State of Franklin Road and Colonial Way on Thursday. Officers were able to follow screams coming from underneath the interstate bridge.

Authorities said 23-year-old Kimberly Raines had attacked her boyfriend. Both Raines and the victim were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Raines was charged with aggravated assault and is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. She is due in court Friday at 1:30 p.m.
