Star of "It" hosts premiere in Bristol, Tennessee
BRISTOL, Tenn. - Stephen King's "It" opened this weekend to huge crowds and critical acclaim. A local teenager who stars in the movie is hosted a special premiere in Bristol, Tennessee. Jeremy Ray Taylor plays the character Ben Hanscom in the movie. He was at the Pinnacle 12 Theater Saturday signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. He also sold raffle tickets for posters signed by the cast. The proceeds will benefit those affected by hurricanes. "Well it'd be awesome to interact with my fans a little bit, and at the same time make money for people that are in bad times," Jeremy said. According to Forbes, "It" broke the box office preview record for an R-rated film. It brought in 13.5 million dollars before the movie hit theaters on Friday. Jeremy was nervous to watch himself on screen, but said he was happy when everyone liked the movie. His father said he was proud to see his son getting such a response from the community. "It's hard to contain it sometimes," Mike Taylor said. "He does an amazing job, and he's worked real hard to get to where he is, and he owes it to himself with the amount of work that he's done."
