Three people injured in Unicoi County crash

Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that injured three people in Unicoi County.

He says a vehicle was traveling west on State Route 395 at a high rate speed and failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree.

THP says the driver was 27-year-old Alan Simmons from Johnson City. His passengers 19-year-old Norrin Campbell from Blountville and 20-year-old Alexis Roberts, also from Blountville were injured.

They were all brought to Johnson City Medical Center.

A spokesperson for Mountain States Health Alliance said Simmons and Roberts are in stable condition. We were not provided a condition for Campbell.
