UPDATE: Driver wanted in Washington County, TN fatal crash is custody

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says Matthew Robinson is now in custody. They said warrants are being served. Details are limited, but we'll update you as soon as we learn more information.


A man charged in the death of a passenger in his car in a crash in Washington County, Tennessee, last weekend is being sought by state police officers.

Matthew C. Robinson left the hospital where he was being treated for injuries and law enforcement including the Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently asking the public for help in locating him.

Robinson is charged with one count of vehicular homicide as a result of intoxication and reckless death following the Oct. 15 crash on State Route 81, the report said. He was lying outside of the vehicle when police EMS personnel arrived and found his passenger Emily Lipson, 21, of Bristol, TN dead at the scene.
