Travelers at Tri-Cities airport experiencing issues after Atlanta power outage
Travelers at the Tri-Cities Airport are experiencing cancellations and delays due the the Atlanta power outage.
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is a major hub for travelers to and from the Tri-Cities Airport.
Several passengers had flights to Atlanta diverted and some are having to spend the night in the area.
Passengers we talked to said they are frustrated by the situation.
"Extremely irritating. Extremely." It wasn't the plan, but I've been stuck in worse places, that's for sure," travelers Brian Phalin and Donna Masters said.
Kristi Haulsee, a spokesperson for the Tri-Cities Airport issued statement to News 5 saying, "we regret the inconvenience passengers are experiencing related to the power outage. Passengers will need to check with their air carrier regarding their flight schedule."
