Triple homicide investigation in Washington County, Tenn.

Washington County, Tennessee authorities revealing a third victim and now classify an overnight fatal shooting as a triple homicide investigation.

A hunt for the killer is underway.

Sheriff Ed Graybeal now says that the woman shot and killed was pregnant. That adds a third victim to this homicide investigation.

Officers responded to Friendship Court in Boones Creek Monday night after friends went to check on the family were unable to reach them by phone.

That's when Kyanna and Robert Vaughn were discovered dead from gunshot wounds.

Their 3 and 6-year-old children were there but not hurt.

A shocking discovery, a 23-year-old pregnant woman and her 25-year-old husband dead in their bedroom, with their 3 and 6 year old children in the home unharmed.

"Makes you worried around here. Because you don't know. They could just walk in here and shoot anybody," neighbor Roy Crites said.

Crites said Kyanna and Robert Vaughn lived in the area for about a year.

He said he didn't know them but would hear activity from their mobile home.

"I always heard noises and door slamming coming from up there where the shooting was supposed to happen from 1-3 just about every night," he said.

The children found unharmed, but their parents lying dead.

"It's a shame. And this close to the holidays," Crites said.

Sheriff Ed Graybeal said investigators feel the suspect knew the victims.

It was a difficult response for them.

"You go out to the scene and children are there, if it doesn't touch your heart, you don't need to be doing law enforcement," Graybeal said.

Graybeal said they aren't sure when the shooting happened.

He said if you have any information to contact the sheriff's department.

The two children, a 6-year old boy and 3-year old girl, are both being cared for by the department of child services.
