Tusculum College president to retire
Tusculum College in Greeneville will begin a search for a new president as current leader Nancy Moody announced her retirement on Tuesday.
Moody, who has served as president since 2009, was the first female to hold that office at the school, which will now begin the process of forming a search board headed by college trustees, the school said in a report.
Her retirement is effective December 31.
New academic programs and capital investments were ushered in during Moody's tenure including the Meen Center- a 100,000 square foot facility that opened just last month.
Moody was president at Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate prior to coming to Tusculum and is a former department chair in the College of Nursing at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, the report said.
