Metro Nashville officials said Wednesday a 15-year-old girl and the man she ran away with will be charged in the death of a convenience store clerk.

The department said Trinity Quinn and Daniel Clark, 28, are charged with criminal homicide, especially aggravated robbery and attempted auto theft following the shooting of store worker John Stevens, 58, Tuesday night.

Video surveillance footage showed Quinn shopping in the store and then Clark going to the counter and then firing a shot. Stevens appears to struggle with Clark until Clark backed away from the counter and fired several shots, killing Stevens.

Clark then went through Stevens' pockets as he laid on the floor and the two fled the scene. Police said the teen girl had an opportunity to escape with Clark but chose to stay with him.

The two had been the subject of an AMBER Alert and Clark had just been added to the TBI's Top Ten Most Wanted List when they were found hiding in a ditch after a motorist saw Quinn standing by a highway Wednesday afternoon.
