UPDATE: Andrew Jackson Elementary in Kingsport dismissing at 11 a.m.

Andrew Jackson Elementary in Kingsport will be dismissing beginning at 11 a.m. due to a venting issue with the facility's heating system.
School maintenance crews will have to keep the heat off in the school in order to repair the problem, according to a report from Kingsport City Schools.
Students were evacuated from the building earlier this morning as a precaution and taken to a nearby church.

True said everyone is safe but officials are erring on the side of caution while the issue is investigated.
We spoke with Barry Brickey with the Kingsport Fire Department, who thinks it could be a gas leak. Students were taken to a neighboring church.
