No arrests have been made following the shooting death of a man Friday in the parking lot of Walmart off Volunteer Parkway in Bristol, TN.

Bristol Tennessee Police Dept. Maj. Matt Austin told News 5 on Tuesday that preliminary autopsy results for the victim, Michael Heatherly, have not been returned. He died from a single gunshot wound at a Bristol hospital following the shooting that occurred just after 3 p.m. that day.

Investigators believe Heatherly was targeted while performing his duties for Anderson Merchandisers, a vendor for the store chain.

Police also told News 5 late Friday that one person was in custody and was being questioned as a person of interest in the case. A female who was in the car was also interviewed.

District Attorney Barry Staubus said Tuesday that no one is under arrest or charged.
