Bristol, TN police said they believe the victim was targeted.
Police said they're still following up on leads and looking for information on the shooting at Walmart on Friday afternoon.
They're looking for witnesses that may have seen the shooting or have information in the shooting death of Michael Heatherly.
Police believe there is no danger to the public. Two people have been interviewed and are still persons of interest in the shooting.

Bristol, Tennessee Police said a person is in custody for questioning in connection to the fatal shooting at the Walmart off Volunteer Parkway in Bristol.
Law enforcement sources also said a female was in the vehicle was stopped.

Sullivan County District Attorney Barry Staubus tells NEWS 5 that despite reports of an arrest, no one is in custody in connection to the deadly shooting at the Bristol, Tennessee Walmart.
Michael Heatherly, 43, of Bristol, Tennessee, died from the gunshot wound he received Friday afternoon.

Newman said those troopers tried to stop the vehicle on Old Jonesborough Road. A pursuit started. Washington County deputies assisted state police. The car was eventually stopped at Mock Knob and Cleveland Roads near Bristol.

Investigators have revealed that the shooting victim identified as Michael Heatherly, 43, of Bristol, Tennessee, has died from the gunshot wound received Friday afternoon while in the parking lot of Walmart on Century Blvd. off Volunteer Parkway.
The incident is still under investigation and no information has been released on a possible suspect. Anyone with information on the case can call (423) 989-5600.

During a live interview with News 5's Olivia Bailey at 5, Capt. Matt Austin with the Bristol Tennessee Police Department said preliminary information indicates Friday afternoon's shooting at Walmart off Volunteer Parkway was an isolated incident.
Austin did confirm it was a male victim but did not give an update on his condition or any information on a possible shooter.
UPDATE, 4:30 p.m.
An official report issued by the Bristol Tennessee Police Department says officers arrived just after 3 p.m. and found a male victim located on the ground next to a vehicle with a gunshot wound at Walmart off of Volunteer Parkway.
Investigators are asking for anyone with details on the incident to call (423) 989-5600.
The name of the victim was not released in the report.
Police are responding to report of a shooting at Walmart in Bristol, Tennessee at 220 Century Boulevard, according to information confirmed to News 5 by Sullivan County District Attorney Barry Staubus.
