The suspect in a noontime pharmacy robbery on Thursday in Carter County has been arraigned in Sessions Court on a robbery charge.

Jason Daniel Stout, 36, was in court Friday after being captured late Thursday in Elizabethton and has a bond set at $50,000, according to court information supplied to News 5.

Stout is accused of entering Hampton Pharmacy Thursday and demanding drugs at gunpoint.

Sheriff Dexter Lunceford said officers then began several hours of surveillance at a home on Keenburg Road in Elizabethton where Stout and the drugs were found. He was taken into custody without incident.

Stout indicated that he will hire an attorney and is scheduled to appear in court again on April 11.
