UPDATE: DA still waiting on state report on former ETSU tennis coach

A Washington County, TN grand jury did not hear the case of former East Tennessee State University men's tennis coach on Wednesday.

District Attorney Tony Clark says he is waiting on the comptroller's report that will examine the finances of the program under Yaser Zaatini who abruptly resigned in March.

Zaatini is accused of defrauding the school of more than $106,000 following the release of an internal audit that showed the money came from game day meals, racket-stringing, registrations and more.

He is also accused of forging student signatures saying they received money for meals, created templates of receipts, and altered or fabricated fees.

The grand jury will decide if there's enough evidence to pursue charges against the former coach who agreed to pay the school $30,000 over the next three years.
