An Erwin, Tennessee woman was arraigned Tuesday morning after being charged late Monday in the death of her boyfriend.

Recina Blaire Patrick, 29, made her first appearance in Sessions Court and was appointed an attorney. She is scheduled to be back in court on Thursday and has a bond set at $500,000.

The victim, Ricky Lynn Price, 55, told neighbors and then police when they arrived on the scene just after 10 a.m. Monday that Patrick had caused his injuries, according to the court affidavit.

Price was stabbed at least four times in the couple's home in the 300 block of Tipton Street. That is where investigators found the knife used in the crime under a jacket on top of a pile of clothes, the report said.

Price later died at an area hospital. Patrick was formally charged with first-degree murder Monday evening after Sheriff Mike Hensley called her a person of interest in the case earlier in the day.

Patrick was arrested nearly three years ago in Johnson City and was charged with aggravated domestic assault, according to a TBI report. That charge in 2014 was dismissed.

News 5's Tiana Bohner was in the courtroom and will have more details later.
