The suspect in a Kingsport, Tennessee murder case made his first court appearance on Monday.

A judge set a bond of $250,000 for Jeffery Dale Flanary, 51, who is charged in the first-degree murder of Michael Davidson.

Davidson's body was found inside his home on Mull Street on January 31 and police said that Flanary forced his way into the house, killed Davidson and then took the victim's van.

Warrants were obtained for Flanary's arrest on Friday and he was captured by patrol officers near the Interstate 26 interchange on Lynn Garden Drive on Saturday morning.

Flanary has a preliminary hearing scheduled in Sessions Court on Feburary 14.

News 5 Maggie Smolka has an exclusive interview with some of Davidson's family members. You can see those later tonight at 11 p.m.
