The name of the person killed in a tractor trailer crash in Sullivan County, Tennessee, Wednesday morning on Interstate 81 has been released.

A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says Joseph Cowden, 75, of Claysburg, Pennsylvania, was killed when the rig he was driving left the road, went into the grass median near the Exit 69 bridge, went airborne and fell in between two bridges then came to a rest on Highway 394.

Christopher Cifolilli, 54, was in the sleeper cab of the 18-wheeler when the crash occurred. He was listed in critical condition.

THP officers and investigators kept Highway 394 closed most of the day Wednesday so that the bridge could be inspected. The agency reported the two drivers were returning to Pennsylvania after making a delivery run to Nashville for FedEx.
