UPDATE: TBI Top 10 list member, Sullivan Co. attempted murder suspect in custody

A man added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Top 10 Most Wanted List following a kidnapping and shooting in Hawkins and Sullivan County has been captured in New Orleans, the agency reported Friday.

Jarret Cole Heitmann, 25, of Bristol, was arrested following a shoplifting incident at a city business. He is currently being held in the Orleans Parish Jail, the TBI said.

Heitmann is accused of shooting Dustin Bishop, 34, during a fight at a home in Bloomingdale near Kingsport in June. Investigators said that he kidnapped a woman from Hawkins County and used her to lure Bishop to the confrontation.

He fled the scene and then the area with girlfriend Makayla Stilwell of Bloomingdale, who has still not been captured.

Heitmann is charged with attempted second-degree murder and especially aggravated kidnapping. Anyone with information on Stilwell's whereabouts can call 1-800-TBI-FIND.
