Washington County, Tennessee fugitive captured in Florida following police chase
A Gray, Tennessee man wanted for threatening and holding a person against their will last month was captured in Florida following a police chase, Sheriff Ed Graybeal said Friday.
Porter Grindstaff, 33, was arrested in Brevard County and is being held without bond after he led police on a pursuit then a foot chase following a crash, the report said.
Grindstaff confronted the driver of a church van last month at the Sheffield Circle mobile home park in Gray last month and then pulled out a knife and threatening the victim. Police said the confrontation involved a dispute with a family member.
He is charged in Washington County with one count of aggravated assault, six counts of false imprisonment and three other charges, according to the sheriff.
