BVU urges travel caution on Euclid Avenue

BVU board passes decision on employee sick leave benefit transfer

A water main break is causing the BVU Authority to urge travel precautions near fast-food restaurant Krystal on Euclid Avenue Monday night.

According to BVU, crews are working on the problem at the intersection of Bristol, Virginia's Euclid Avenue and Bob Morrison Boulevard.

Repairs are expected to continue throughout Monday night and possibly into Tuesday morning's commute timeframe.

{p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt"}Frigid temperatures, combined with excess water on roadways, may result in cautionary driving conditions, including black ice. BVU requests drivers exercise caution when traveling through and around the area of repair.

{p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt"}City of Bristol, Virginia and BVU crews are working to quickly remove excess water prior to freezing.

{p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin:0in 0in 0.0001pt"}Water main valves have been utilized to minimize customer impact and create as few inconveniences as possible. Currently, the break has been isolated and there are no locations without water service.
