Emory & Henry radio station holding biggest fundraiser of the year
EMORY, Va. —
WECH, a volunteer run radio station based out of Emory and Henry College, needs your help in its biggest fundraiser.
WECH, 90.7 FM, produces news and music shows that relate to the people in our region. Its annual radiothon is underway right now and they're looking to raise $50,000. Station managers say that money makes up the majority of their operating budget.
"We have a lot of fees for equipment, streaming, engineers, and there's always unforeseen expenses," station manager Richard Graves says. "We're always looking to the future to make sure WEHC is around to serve the community for years to come."
The radiothon runs through March 9. If you'd like to make a donation, you can call 276-525-2550 or head to here.
