House fire in Smyth County leaves one injured
SMYTH COUNTY, Va. - According to the Adwolfe Fire Department Chief Steve Widner, crews received a call about a house fire on Sugar Street in the Adwolfe section of Smyth County just before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.
Chief Widner says one resident was injured and was taken to the hospital most likely for smoke inhalation.
The chief says that man was the only one home at the time of the fire.
The house sustained severe damage and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
