Man pleads guilty to deadly New Year's Eve crash
RUSSELL COUNTY, Va. - The man accused of driving under the influence and killing a man early on New Year's Day has pleaded guilty. According to Russell County Commonwealth's Attorney Brian Patton, Dale Donnells has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and DWI. Police said Donnells was driving the wrong way on Route 19 near Hansonville when he hit Thomas Estep's car. Estep was a musician from Norton who was heading home from Abingdon when the wreck occurred.
