Move it on over: Virginia inspection stickers to get new windshield spot in 2018
If you own and drive a vehicle in Virginia, you're 2018 inspection sticker will have a new spot on your windshield.
A report issued Wednesday by the Virginia State Police announced the change in the uniform sticker placement due to a recent advancement in auto manufacturing.
Crash avoidance systems equipped on a percentage of new vehicles require the center of the windshield to be clear in order for the system to work properly. That is prompting the new mandate of the sticker being placed in the lower left corner of windshields.
The directive is being sent to all inspection stations across the commonwealth so that the change can take place effective Jan. 1, 2018, the report said.
