Police: Pennington Gap woman brought cocaine to Abingdon hospital
A Lee County, Virginia woman is facing a total of seven charges after police said she brought cocaine into a patient's room at an Abingdon hospital.
Willie Mae Jane Berry, 40, of Pennington Gap brought a total of $3,000 worth of narcotics into the room at Johnston Memorial Hospital, including meth and pain killers, according to the report from Washington County, Virginia Sheriff Fred Newman.
Nurses at the medical facility were able to show investigators the cocaine that was found on the sink inside the dwelling, the report said.
Berry is being held without bond in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon.
