Police: Student confesses to making bomb threat at Ridgeview Middle School
A middle school student has confessed to making a bomb threat earlier Friday at Ridgeview Middle School in Dickenson County.
The threat was found on a handwritten note, according to Dickenson County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Scott Stanley. The student was charged with making a threat to blow up a school by bomb.
In a separate incident, a Ridgeview High School student was charged Wednesday with making a terroristic threat to the school last Friday. Police stated the student said he was going to "shoot up the school."
There have been multiple threats at the school in the last week. The first was found last Friday in a school bathroom. A second was found Monday while deputies were interviewing two students. That was found on a calculator-type device.
In both cases, a bomb-sniffing dog was brought in but nothing was found.
