Man previously hiking on Creeper Trail located

The Washington County Sheriff's Office has announced that Bill Page has been located after he went missing Thursday night. Officers noted that Page was first hiking on the Appalachian Trail and then started walking on the Creeper Trail.
Search crews are combing areas around Damascus, Virginia along the Creeper Trail after several hours of exploring Thursday night turned up with no signs of a missing hiker.
Bill Page, 65, was reported missing just after 6 p.m. after he got separated from a group of nine other hikers, according to information from the Washington County Virginia Sheriff's Office.
The Virginia State Police MedFlight helicopter helped in the search as other rescuers walked along the trail in the search for Page.
On Friday, the focus switched to the Taylor's Valley community near Chesnut Mountain, police said.
