Scott County, Virginia receives $250K for Riverside industrial / retail development
State economic leaders announced Friday the allocation of $250,000 in grant funding earmarked for an industrial/retail development in Weber City, Virginia.
The Riverside project located off of Route 23 in Scott County will receive the money for phase three of its development through a Community Development Block Grant administered by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development.
One parcel inside the park has already been occupied by TeleTech, a customer experience center that county officials announced would provide 300 jobs.
The county is hoping to attract more industrial and possible retail development in the park, according to data released by the Scott County Industrial Development Authority.
